Summary
My 2018 Audi Q5 experienced significant water intrusion due to a failure of the panoramic sunroof drain system. Water entered the vehicle interior and traveled down into the electrical compartment, submerging the comfort module and damaging multiple wiring harnesses. This caused the vehicle to become inoperable and unable to start. Audi has issued Technical Service Bulletin 2075969/2 describing this exact defect. The bulletin states that the sunroof drain hoses can be kinked during factory installation of the headliner, which blocks drainage and causes water to enter the vehicle. This is a manufacturing defect affecting multiple model years of the Audi Q5. In my case, the water intrusion caused electrical failure, loss of vehicle function, and required thousands of dollars in repairs. Audi declined to cover the defect and stated the vehicle was not maintained on schedule, even though maintenance has no relationship to kinked or improperly routed sunroof drains. This defect poses a safety risk because water intrusion into electrical components can cause sudden vehicle failure, electrical shorts, corrosion, and loss of critical systems. The failure occurred without warning. I am reporting this because the issue appears to be widespread, documented by Audi, and has the potential to disable vehicles unexpectedly.

Summary
The vehicle has had regular maintenance, oil change, and inspection including the brakes. My boyfriend is visiting me in [XXX] from the [XXX]. OnXXX while driving the vehicle the engine started. Making a ticking noise especially during idle and when accelerating in idle. About 15 minutes after the ticking stopped and all of a sudden there's a complete loss of breaks they locked up and the driver was unable to efficiently stop while going down a hill Road. Driver had to use the emergency brake to make the other brakes release and then the brakes from there would not work even though you could stomp on them stand on top of them there was no breaking power anymore. Vehicle was brought into a GMC dealership on the following Monday where they confirmed the issue was a failed vacuum pump connected to the engine and camshaft which is a known safety issue to GMC as part of an ongoing open case they had specialty coverage and bulletins regarding the Tahoe and Sierra but neglected to include the terrain on this issue. Cold the GMC manufacturer in both [XXX] and [XXX] to try and get cost assistance and specialty coverage as the vehicle as well under the mileage requirements but have been giving the push around and zero assistance. The risk to the drivers and passengers lives was significant as we were on the highway for1.5 hrand thankfully the brake lost didn't happen in full during that time. The repairs were completed and paid for in full by the client which should have been covered by the dealership and we are looking for cost recuperation and are now being ignored. Receipts are here to substantiate the claim. The ABS light is no longer on there was no warnings on the vehicle showing any issues or any codes as OnStar was called and diagnostics were received and the diagnostics came back clear prior to this happening, and following the break failure. I bought a brandnew vehicle 1/31/2025 and it was a White Honda Odyssey 2025. I was in search of a bigger and safer car for my family of 5. Within months I had major issues with the vehicle. I would bring my car in and it would get returned unfixed. My vehicle has now gone in for a 6th time (twice in a week) for service for shutting off while the vehicle was IN MOTION (on the highway , busy rotary and roads) I have spent hours and hours and hours speaking to people and James Brown at Parkway Honda. I have been lied to about how much my vehicle was driven and tested with them not knowing I had tracked the mileage on there at dropoff and checked at pickup. I feel very small in this situation as Parkway Honda keeps brushing me off and not fully getting that a vehicle shutting off while in motion on a highway or in a busy rotary is wildly unsafe. My kids and I have been SOO lucky that this has not been fatal. Honda keeps saying it's the battery, etc. My car was in there for over 3 weeks last Summer for this issue and has been in and out multiple times and it was brand new. This is criminal on their part and they know they are bigger than I am and im sick of it.
