BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE SLIDING DOORS OF OUR 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN SXT WILL NOT OPEN BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE SOLENOID VALVES INSIDE THE DOORS. WE ARE UNABLE TO OPEN THE SLIDING DOORS ELECTRONICALLY (PUSH BUTTONS OR KEY FOBS) OR MANUALLY, DUE TO THE FAILED DOOR ACTUATOR VALVES. AS A RESULT, THE SLIDING DOORS ARE COMPLETELY INOPERABLE AND STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION. OCCUPANTS COULD EASILY BE TRAPPED IN AN EMERGENCY SINCE THEY WOULD HAVE TO CLIMB INTO THE FRONT SEAT, OR CRAWL OUT THE REAR HATCH TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD. THE SLIDING DOORS STARTED MAKING A LOUD NOISE WHEN WE USED THE KEY FOB TO LOCK THE DOORS. AFTER A WEEK OR SO, THE LOUD NOISE STOPPED AND THE DOORS WOULD NO LONGER OPERATE. APP WILL NOT SYNC WITH CAR AND I CAN'T SEE MY SCHEDULED SERVICE APPT. WE PURCHASED THE CAR USED (3RD PARTY) AND WE DID NOT HAVE ISSUES FOR ALMOST 2 MONTHS UNTIL WE CODED THE NEW KEY, AND DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE OR TWO. THE CAR LITERALLY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I TRIED TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND BREAK. THE CAR SYSTEM INDICATED TO ME TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTART THE CAR. I DID SO, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON THE CAR STUTTERED A BIT BUT THEN SUCCESSFULLY TURNED ON. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. I DROVE THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING. I EXPRESSED EXTREME CONCEWRN THAT THIS ISSUE WAS THE SAME AS THE ONE THAT WAS IN THE NEWS ABOUT MANY 2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICAS. THEY DID NOT EVEN SEEM TO BE AWARE OF THE RECALL WHICH SEEMED SHOCKING GIVEN THE ISSUE. AND WHEN I PRESSED THEY SAID SINCE THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE AND IT WAS NOT A CAR IDENTIFIED IN THE RECALL THAT THERE WAS NOT MUCH THEY COULD DO. I SLOWED DOWN TO 10 MPH IN THE RIGHT LANE WHERE THE SHAKE DIMINISHED. EXPERIENCED THIS APPROXIMATELY FIVE MORE TIMES RECORDING THE SHAKE ON MY PHONE, I SEARCHED THE INTERNET WHEN I GOT HOME AND DISCOVERED THE TERM "DEATH WOBBLE" OCCURRING AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 55-70. MY TRUCK BEGINS TO WOBBLE VIOLENTLY WHEN I HIT A BUMP OR JOIST IN THE INTERSTATE. REQUIRES ME TO SLOW DOWN TO APP 10MPH ON THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE TO MAKE IT GO AWAY. DEATH WOBBLE BEGAN TO OCCUR ON THURSDAY, 17 SEP WHILE TRAVELING FOR WORK AND I HAD TO DRIVE LESS THAN 50 MPH THE REMAINDER OF MY WAY HOME. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP ON FRIDAY MORNING TO ADDRESS AND FIX THE PROBLEM WHERE THEY REPLACED NUMEROUS FRONT END PARTS TO THE TUNE OF $2100.00. PICKED THE TRUCK TOP ON A SATURDAY MORNING AND BY MONDAY AFTERNOON THE WOBBLE OCCURED AGAIN TRAVELING ON I-12 AT 65 MPH NEAR MANDEVILLE, LA. I HAD TO PROCEED 50 MPH HOME WHERE I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY FOR FURTHER EVALUATION.
