TITLE
Fitment of tail lamp link lead harnesses to prevent rear tail lamp failure.

REASON
Under a specific usage condition* one or both of the rear tail lamps can stop illuminating.
*Hazard warning lights have been continuously activated for a prolonged time period with the ignition
off and the tailgate closed.
Turning the ignition on or opening the tailgate will reactivate the position lights, but the turn indicator
fault will remain. Only turning on the engine will reactivate the CEM and correct the turn indicator fault.
Link leads fitted between the engine compartment harness and rear lamp connector plugs are now
fitted as a production running change to resolve this issue. These can also be ordered via the parts
system on the Lotus Commercial Management System (LCMS).

which affected 2024/2025 model year 4-cylinder vehicles only.
ACTION
- Check and identify any affected Emira vehicles from your inventory stock, dealer demonstrators and
customer vehicles to ensure that this campaign action is performed at the first opportunity.
- Any affected vehicle’s campaign status will be displayed in the warranty section of LCMS.
Procedure:
1.Raise the vehicle, refer to the Emira service notes, Section 0
Introduction > 15 General Information > 016 Jacking > Raise and
Support Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
2.Remove 1 x M6 button headed screw and 1 x scrivit securing the
rear of the wheelarch liner to the rear fender as shown in the image
to sufficiently pull the wheelarch liner away from the fender.
Note: It is not necessary to remove the rear wheel or the complete
wheelarch liner, only liner deflection to access the harness
connectors is required.
3.Pull the left-side (driver side) rear of the wheelarch liner to gain
access to the rear lamp to engine compartment harness connector.

4.From the wheelarch area, pull the rear lamp to engine compartment harness connector mounting
peg of from the subframe retaining stud (highlighted in orange).

5.Pull the rear lamp to engine compartment
harness connector mounting peg off the
fender retaining stud.
6.Unplug the connectors.
NOTE: If campaign QBS-131-26004 was
already carried out, then link lead part number
8901537030 previously fitted to both sides
must be removed and discarded.
7.Fit the left hand (driver side) link lead
(8904408655 highlighted in green), between
the connectors.
NOTE: The link leads can be identified by their
attached part number labels.
8.Fit the mounting peg of the tail lamp link lead
harness onto the subframe retaining stud
(highlighted in orange).
9.Fit the mounting peg of the engine compartment harness connector onto the subframe/fender
bracket stud (highlighted in yellow).
10.Repeat the procedure on the right-hand (passenger side) rear tail lamp using link lead part number
8904408720.
11. Check the operation of all lights within the rear tail lamps.

This technical service bulletin is not intended as a recall procedure, nor will it have an affect on the
vehicles warranty period.
Please perform the Campaign Agreement in LCMS which can later be converted into a Warranty
Claim having the warranty type “Recall and Campaign”.
This shall be raised in LCMS in under campaign ID QBS-131-26014.
CHARGES
A warranty claim may be submitted on Lotus Commercial Management System (LCMS), campaign
number QBS-131-26014.
