Condition

Certain EPA21 compliant PACCAR MX-13 engines identified as having suspect intake valve springs.
Chassis Affected

2,117 (1,825 US and 292 Canada) vehicle model year 2022-2023 T680, T880, W990 built from

12/16/2021 through 5/9/2022 equipped with EPA21 compliant PACCAR MX-13 engines.
Action
Campaign

1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if
their chassis is on the list.

2. If the engine is replaced with a Long Block, Full Swing, or the Cylinder Head Assembly is replaced
for any other reason after 5/10/2022, E335 does not need to be performed. Email
pb.warsystem@paccar.com or [email protected] to mark the
campaign complete. Include the Chassis Number and date of the engine repair, and what was
replaced in the email (long block, full swing, cylinder head). Note that a short block replacement
does not eliminate the need for E335.

3. In Service Management, select Campaign E335 to add it to the case. If the unit is released back
into service without performing the repair, make sure to also release the Campaign in Service
Management

4. If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for “Complete” or "In
Process" next to the E335 campaign code prior to performing this repair.

5. Follow the procedures below to replace 12 intake valve springs.

Warranty

This is a proactive campaign that covers only the labor outlined in the Repair Procedure below.
Progressive damage is not covered under E335 and must be filed under a separate claim.

Starting on 2/19/2026 and for repairs completed by 3/1/2027, Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net
plus applicable mark-up and labor:

e 4.5 hours of labor to replace 12 intake valve springs on T680 Next Gen chassis. Select
Recommended Repair code E335A.

¢ 4.9 hours of labor to replace 12 intake valve springs on T680 Next Gen Short Hood chassis. Select
Recommended Repair code E335B.

e 4.4 hours of labor to replace 12 intake valve springs on T880/W990/T680 Classic chassis. Select
Recommended Repair code E335C.

e ARecommended Repair for standard labor must be filed first.

e File the claim within 14 days in accordance with the Warranty Policy.

° Kenworth dealers may perform E335 repairs on Peterbilt chassis, but Recommended Repairs do

not apply. For Peterbilt chassis repairs, use the long claim input form.

Intake Valve Spring inventory is currently limited and has been placed on reserve status. Dealers must
submit a TCS365 case as shown below. PACCAR Parts continues to receive regular inventory shipments
to the PDCs.
