Instruction Overview
Under certain conditions exterior ambient light may shine through the lower corners of the slide-out in Model
Ix Travel Trailers. This document provides instruction for installing a seal for this condition.
This is applicable to Model Ix Travel Trailers from VIN 00001 to 002325.

WORK INSTRUCTIONS:
1. READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK.
2. Starting at the front of the slide-out, pull back the exterior lower vertical slide-out sweeper seal (Figure 1).
3. Locate the lower wipe seal pan where it meets the corner of the slide-out (Figure 2).

CAUTION
CAUTION: Scissors and shears are sharp and create an injury hazard. Always use extreme caution to guard
against injury when using sharp cutting tools!

4. The seals come pre-cut to length (Figure 3).
5. Cut a cardboard template to match the size of the seal (Figure 4).

6. Place the cardboard template in position under the gap and mark the cut locations for optimum coverage of
the gap area (Figure 5a).
7. Cut and trim the cardboard template to position it where it completely covers the gap (Figure 5b).

8. Place the template and the first seal together and cut the seal to match the template (Figure 6a and 6b).
9. Test fit the seal in place. Note how it will need to be trimmed to fit the opening (Figure 7).
10. Trim seal to snuggly fit the opening (Figure 6a and 6b). It should press against the bottom of the slide-out
corner and up the vertical side of the slide-out to cover the gap completely.

11. Install the seal by first removing the red adhesive cover on the back of the seal (Figure 8a).
12. Press the seal into position and install on the lower wipe seal pan using a screw gun with a #2 square drive
bit and three (3) #10 X 1” fasteners (P/N 103565) (Figure 8b) through the plastic tray behind the bulb seal
(Figure 8c).

13. Pull the seal flap down and apply adhesive to the lower wipe seal pan where the backside of the corner seal
cover will contact it (Figure 9a).
14. Spray activator on the adhesive (Figure 9b) and press the seal flap into place immediately. Press and
hold firmly in place against the lower wipe seal pan for approximately 30 seconds (Figure 9c).

15. Cycle slide-out in and out to test gap seal - inspect to make sure it is still properly positioned (Figure 10).
16. Repeat process for the rear lower corner of the slide-out.
17. Installation complete.
