SITUATION
The following message is displayed on the central information display (CID): “Storage space running out”.
Afterwards, apps can no longer be updated, and additional content can no longer be loaded.
Note: Photo shows the corresponding image for BMW. MINI is similar, using the MINI Interaction Unit.
CAUSE
Unfavorable software in the head unit (HU-H6) causes an incorrect memory setting on head unit (HU-H6)
start-up.
CORRECTION
Reset the head unit (HU-H6) to factory settings.
PROCEDURE
Access the Memory app in the CID. Under the “More Information” menu, check the used memory settings of the HU-H6. If
the total memory settings show 16 GB instead of 128 GB, the HU-H6 memory settings are incorrect.

To restore the correct memory settings, perform a Factory Reset of the HU-H6 using the following path:

Recheck the Memory Capacity has changed to 128 GB.
