This bulletin provides a targeted inspection for a front engine-bay wiring harness section on Grecale
(M182) vehicles when certain electrical symptoms are present. It describes how to access the area
beneath the FDU and identify the specific harness segment that requires attention. If issues are found, it

HVAC panel not functioning.
Vehicle no-start condition.
Rain sensor not operating.
Inspection Procedure:
1. To reach the wiring section underneath the Front Distribution Unit (FDU), Follow procedure
#9.15.016 to remove the cowl trim panel and water containment tray.

3. Remove the water containment tray
4. Loosen or partially remove the FDU mounting screws and move the FDU to the side to gain access
to the part of the harness in question.
Inspecting the Harness
Once access is available, inspect the wiring harness directly beneath the FDU.
Pay close attention to the section of wiring with no tape wrapping, as this area is more likely to show
signs of wear, contact, or damage.

If Damage Is Found
1. If you identify any damaged wiring during the inspection, evaluate and perform the repair following
the wiring repair procedure (00.30.005‑80):
In all cases, during reassembly of the components, install a zip tie to reposition the harness as
shown in the figure below.
