SUBJECT:
This TSB supersedes 25-EV-002H to update applicable vehicle production dates on page 1,
part numbers on page 2, Op codes on page 3, and BSA replacement approval process to
the latest process on page 4.
IMPORTANT
This field action requires justification in the form of a customer concern, and a confirmed case for
the related symptom outlined in the TSB, prior to any repair work. If justification requirements are
not met, any submitted claims are subject to debit. High Voltage Coverage (EV/HEV/PHEV)
applies.

Description: Some 2025MY IONIQ 5 (NEA EV) vehicles may experience a charging condition where
a voltage difference between battery cells prevents the High Voltage Battery from fully charging. The
two DTCs associated with this condition are:
• P1AA700 – Hybrid/EV Battery Abnormal Performance: Cell Voltage Deviation
• P1AD300 – Hybrid/EV Battery Abnormal Performance: MISD.
If either of the DTCs listed above are identified in "Active" status, follow the procedure outlined in this
TSB to replace the Battery System Assembly (BSA).

NOTE 3: The incident parts are subject to callback through the normal Warranty Technical Center
(WTC) parts return process. Claim is subject to debit if the part is not returned.
NOTE 4: If a part is found in need of replacement while performing this TSB and the affected part is
still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair order. If the affected part is out of
warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration prior to performing the work.
NOTE 5: If DTC P1AA700 and/or P1AD300 are confirmed in "active" status, a submission for a PA
approval for BSA replacement is required.
NOTE 6: Dealer will be reimbursed with 2 gallons of coolant under both op codes.

Precautions, Cautions and Warnings" section of the shop manual. Failure to comply with the
safety instructions may result in serious accidents due to electric shock or leakage.

Use GDS to perform a Fault Code Search on
the BMS system for DTCs P1AA700 and
P1AD300:
• If P1AA700 and/or P1AD300 are active,
then submit for PA approval.
• If P1AA700 and P1AD300 are NOT
listed, proceed with the normal
diagnostic process.

Upload the photo to STUI.
NOTE: If the STUI camera function is
NOT used, write the last 6 digits of the
VIN and date of repair on a piece of
