NOTE 2: Take a picture of the warrantable defect. Op times include VIN, mileage, and repair justification
photo(s) as outlined in the Digital Documentation Policy.
NOTE 3: The incident parts are subject to callback through the normal Warranty Technical Center (WTC)
parts return process. Claim is subject to debit if the part is not returned.
NOTE 4: If a part is found in need of replacement while performing this TSB and the affected part is still
under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair order. If the affected part is out of
warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration prior to performing the work.
NOTE 5: Labor operations with a Reman (RM) transmission
will reimburse 3 quarts of DCT control oil and
4 quarts of DCT gear oil.

Service Procedure:

This TSB includes repair justification photos. Refer to the latest Warranty Digital Documentation
Policy for requirements.
NOTICE
Applying the recommended torque to all fasteners is essential to reduce potential issues from
occurring after the service procedure.
Be careful NOT to damage any parts under the vehicle when using a lift (floor under cover, fuel
filer, fuel tank and canister).
1.
Confirm the presence of one of the high pressure electric oil pump DTCs below. If NOT
present, this TSB does NOT apply. Follow the normal diagnostic process.
• P1C2D03 - HP EOP Motor Position Sensor
• P193B79 - HP EOP Performance
• P086800 - Transmission Fluid Pressure Low

If vehicle was applicable to Recall 236 or Service Campaign T8N, confirm the relevant
recall/campaign has been performed.
3.
Replace the 8-speed wet dual clutch transmission (8WDCT) by referring to the shop manual:
• Dual Clutch Transmission System > Dual Clutch Transmission System > Dual
Clutch Transmission System > Repair procedures / Removal and Installation

Information
Be sure to transfer the original transmission control module (TCM) to the new
transmission.

Using the STUI camera function, take a
photo of the new 8WDCT assembly
clearly showing the serial number located
on top of the assembly.
Upload the photo to STUI.
NOTE: If the STUI camera function is
NOT used, write the last 6 digits of the
VIN and date of repair on a piece of
paper to include in the photo.

After installation, be sure to perform the following procedures as detailed in the shop manual:
• Air Bleeding
• Transmission Initialization
• Transmission Learning
• Touchpoint Curve Learning
