Customer states:

* Creaking/squeaking noises are heard from the left front or right front area of the vehicle when it is driven on
uneven roads.

Workshop findings:

* The noises are caused by the rear suspension control arm bush.

Technical Background

The rear elastomer bush of the control arm on the front axle has kidney shape slits. When driving on uneven roads
this can cause noise due to relative movements in the elastomer bush.

Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service

1. Try to reproduce the customer complaint (in accordance with the customer statement/technical background) so
that it can be clearly assigned to this TSB. The repair described below must only be performed if the specified
criteria apply. For a permanent remedy to the noise complaint, the control arm must be removed. For the parts
to be replaced and the required additional work, refer to the Workshop Manual. Apply Lithium Grease (part
number GO052 150 A2) to the kidney shape slits of the rear elastomer bush from above (with bush removed).
The lithium grease must only be applied within the areas shown in red. (Figure 1).

2. Do this on both sides of the front
