SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mechanical Requested Dress Code
WARNING:
➢ Dress properly to avoid personal injury and damage to
the vehicle
➢
Always wear protective clothing
Do not wear any worn or loose-fitting clothing
Remove jewelry before starting to work
In case of long hair, use hairnet
The illustration on the left shows some of the correct and
incorrect clothing

vehicle (i.e. belts, watches, necklace)

2. Protecting the Seats Before Service

✓ Seats, trimming, upholstery stuff and carpeting should be
protected with appropriate coverings.

3. Welding on the vehicle
a) Disconnect the battery. (Starting with the negative terminal)
b) If electrical and electronic devices (control units, sensors, and actuators) or battery terminals are
less than 2 meters from the chassis area where welding is planned or the ground line of the
welding vehicle, disconnect them.
c) Disconnect the connections between the engine and the vehicle.
d) The earth terminal should never be attached to vehicle components such as the engine, axle, or
springs. To avoid the risk of damage to components such as shaft bearings or springs, arcing
should not be allowed on these components.
e) The earth terminal should be well connected and placed as close as possible to the area to be
welded.
f) Plastic pipes, tires, or rubber parts should be protected from weld spatter and temperatures
above 70 degrees Celsius.
g) The ignition key should be removed.
h) Reconnect the connection by reversing the disconnection procedure. Ensure that the ground
connection between the chassis, engine, and cover is good
