CUSTOMER COMPLAINT
The front bumper cover is loose, detached, or missing.
CAUSE
When the bumper cover is installed inward beyond specification during installation, the
cover’s external ribs can bind against the bumper. This prevents the locking tab at the lower
section from fully engaging, leaving a large visible gap at the lower edge, and compromising
clip proper securement.

REMEDY
When reinstalling or servicing the front bumper cover:

Steps
Insert the bumper cover by aligning and
engaging the two upper locating tabs.

Firmly press down on the lower section of
the bumper cover to secure the locking tab
into position.

Check for visible excessive gap at the lower
edge that can compromise clip
engagement.

If excessive gap is observed (over 1.0mm)
use one hand, gently pull or press the cover
downward to minimize gap and fully
secure.

Visually confirm there is no excessive gap
along the bottom edge of the cover.

During Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) or service involving front bumper cover removal, confirm
correct installation per the procedure above.

•

Report any recurring fitment or retention issues through MMNA Techline or submit a PQR quality
reporting.
