Customer Complaint/Technician Observation: Technician observes using the scan tool
that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is displaying a reading indicating low fuel after filling.

Repair Procedure:
If the PCM voltage reading indicates a low fuel condition after the vehicle is filled without any
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) it is recommended to perform a reset of the Body Control Module
(BCM) using the wiTECH – Guided Diagnostics.
Observe the fuel level data after the reset, if the PCM reads accurately no further service is
required. If the fuel gauge still displays inaccurate readings after the reset, inspect connector D6602B
at the Fuel Pump Module as shown.

for service panel access information for access panel removal. If the connector appears improperly
seated, unseat and inspect the connector for any terminal damage (repair as needed), if no terminal
damage, secure the connector and confirm proper readings to complete.

Verification:
Start the vehicle to determine if the fuel level gauge shows the corresponding level of fuel as
expected. If the fuel level gauge is now showing the correct amount, release the vehicle to the
customer.
