This is to revise and replace TRP 7073-A, dated 12-Dec-2024. This revision is to:
1. Extend the Expiration date to: 15-Jun-2026, and
2. update the Description, and
3. update the Material Disposition, and
4. update Attachment B.

Description
This TRP is being issued to renozzle degraded fuel injectors with an improved helmet nozzle design on certain X15 certified engines at specific ReNozzle centers. This
TRP does not support service center work related to the removal and reinstallation of the renozzled injectors. For specific details, please refer to T7072 for Canada
specific population.

Note : Claims will ONLY be accepted from authorized ReNozzle centers under Service Provider Code 56335 and 56255.
Note : This field action provides retroactive coverage for repairs made prior to the release of this publication.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. Coverage will be determined by T7072 eligibility, and
2. must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action.
3. injectors must be renozzled by authorized ReNozzle centers.

Note : The ESN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Upon receipt of degraded Fuel Injector set, complete the helmet nozzle replacement installation for all received Fuel Injectors. Please refer to instructions provided
by the Fuel Systems Team.
2. Perform POP Test to verify mechanical functionality of the renozzled fuel injectors and enter results in the pre-assigned database as instructed by the Fuel Systems
Team.
3. At the completion of the POP Test, package all six renozzled fuel injectors into the original packaging box. Replace the box if damaged, Part #652005500. Please
refer to Attachment B for packaging instructions. Return the injector set to the identified service provider.

Note : Where appropriate, the return shipping costs can be reimbursed. Please refer to the Other Claimables notation below.
Note : If any renozzled Fuel Injector FAILS the POP Test, replace the failed injector with an approved ReCon Fuel Injector, Cummins part number
6513589.
4. Please refer to original shipping label for return address details.

Material Disposition
Where applicable, items removed should be returned to ReCon for core credit. Unless otherwise indicated, items with no core liability can be scrapped.

Overview

This field action provides authorization for certified repair locations to receive, restore and ship full 6-pack
of fuel injectors to Primary Service Provider.
The following pages will detail Packaging Instructions to ensure proper delivering back to Primary Service
Provider.

Recurrent Issues to Avoid
 Avoid oil-wetness on cardboard

Step 1: Wipe oil from the outside of injector

 Use a lint free cloth
 Blow dry with air-nozzle if necessary
 Avoid direct contact with the side feed inlet

Step 2: Place Injectors into bags

 Insert into clean bag
 Insert needle end first
 Fold the top of the bag over
 12 Bags are provided. Please
“double-bag” each injector.

Step 3: Place Injectors in the Shipping Box
 Load the double-bagged injectors into the foam slots
 The nozzle end goes into the smaller slot nearest the lid

 Leave the six (6) cardboard stiffeners in place
• Note: these slots will have new HPCs installed
when the injectors are returned.
