This bulletin applies to vehicles built on and after December 23, 2024
(MDH 1223XX) and on or before January 20, 2025 (MDH 0120XX)
equipped with 6.7L I6 Cummins HO Turbo Diesel Eng (Sales Code
ETM).

CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Customers may experience the following:
● Audible whistle type noise heard from the engine area.

This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-102,
date of issue June 03, 2025. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service
action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/Service Library.
All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty.
REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves tightening the charge air cooler left and right hose clamps to the proper torque
specification.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customers VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, and a coolant leak from the thermostatic valve is
verified, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list exhibits any of the symptom listed above in the
customer symptom section, perform the Diagnosis procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE: All charge air cooler hose clamps must be properly torqued. Overview of location and
orientation Fig. 1. Both of the front clamps can be accessed from underneath the vehicle.

1. Remove the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to the detailed service procedures available
in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 23 - Body / Exterior / Shield, Splash, Front
Wheelhouse / Removal.
2. Remove both front wheels. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service
Library under: Service Info> 22 - Tires and Wheels / Removal.
3. Tighten the charge air cooler hose clamp at the charge air cooler to 11 N⋅m (8 Ft. Lbs.) Fig. 2.

4. Tighten the left charge air cooler hose clamp to 11 N⋅m (8 Ft. Lbs.) Fig. 3.

5. Install the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to the detailed service procedures available
in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 23 - Body / Exterior / Shield, Splash, Front
Wheelhouse / Installation.
6. Install both front wheels. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service
Library under: Service Info> 22 - Tires and Wheels / Installation.
7. Tighten the right charge air cooler hose clamp at the charge air cooler to 11 N⋅m (8 Ft. Lbs.) Fig. 4.

8. Tighten the right charge air cooler hose clamp to 11 N⋅m (8 Ft. Lbs.).
