● Driver Seat - Power Adjust 8-Way (Sales Code JVG).
● Frt Pass Seat - Manual Adjust 4-Way (Sales Code JWA).
● Frt Pass Seat - Power Adjust 8-Way (Sales Code JWG).
● High Back Bucket Seats (Sales Code CAD).
● Ventilated Front Seats (Sales Code CAJ).
● Radio/Drv Seat/Mirrors/Pedals Memory (Sales Code LEV).

CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Customers may experience one or more of the following:
● Driver and/or passenger seat moves backwards but not forward.
● Driver and/or passenger seat inoperative.

CAUSE:

Binding seat track

REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves replacing the front power seat adjusters.

DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer describes any of the symptoms listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the
Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE: Checking the passenger seat will be the same procedure as the driver seat.
1. Open the second row door and move rear seat cushions up to their stowed position.
2. Adjust the driver front seat to the full up position.
3. Remove the four bolts that hold the seat to the truck floor and discard. The bolts have lock patch that is not
reusable.
4. Lay the seat down on its side so the underside of the seat is easily accessible.
5. Remove the fore/aft wire harness motor connector from the fore/aft motor (back right of the seat adjuster).
Push on the tab to remove the motor wire harness connector from the motor. Leave disconnected for 10
seconds.

6. Reconnect the fore/aft wire harness motor connector to the fore/aft motor.
7. Push / Pull / Push the connector with fingers to ensure the wire harness connector is fully seated to the
fore/aft motor connector.
8. Cycle the fore/aft switch to check that the motor is working properly.
9. Does the seat fore/aft function operate properly?
● YES>>> Proceed to Step 10.
● NO>>> Proceed to Step 11.
10. Reassemble the seat to the truck floor using the four new fasteners. Torque fasteners to 47 N·m (35 ft.lb.).
Use LOP (23-13-60-91) and/or (23-13-60-92).
11. Replace the power seat adjuster(s). Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 23 - Body / Seats, Front / Track, Front Seat /
Removal and Installation.
