HORN ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
(WARRANTY EXTENSION Z03)

This TSB has been revised to add Elantra N (CN7 N) and Elantra N-Line (CN7) to the 'Applicable
Vehicles' section and their corresponding parts and warranty information. In addition, NOTE 1
under the 'Warranty Information' section has also been updated.
Description: Certain Elantra (CN7) non-N-Line and N-Line, Elantra (CN7A), Elantra N (CN7 N), and
Elantra Hybrid (CN7 HEV) vehicles may experience an inoperable horn.
Hyundai is extending the warranty coverage for the horn replacement under this condition to 10 years
or 120,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use (whichever occurs first) and
is valid for original and subsequent owners.
If a horn needs to be replaced, follow the instructions within this TSB to install the latest design.
Please note that any vehicles under 10 years/120,000 miles are covered by this TSB, even if vehicle
is within original warranty of 5 years/60,000 miles.

NOTE 1: If the affected parts are within the warranty period of 10 years or 120,000 miles, then submit
as a campaign claim type. Please note that any vehicles under 10 years/120,000 miles are covered
by this TSB, even if vehicle is within original warranty of 5 years/60,000 miles.
NOTE 2: Take a picture of the warrantable defect. Op times include VIN, Mileage, and Repair
validation photo(s) as outlined in the Digital Documentation Policy.
NOTE 3: The incident parts are subject to callback through the normal Warranty Technical Center
(WTC) parts return process. Claim is subject to debit if the part is not returned.
NOTE 4: If a part is found in need of replacement while performing this TSB and the affected part is
still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair order. If the affected part is out of
warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration prior to performing the work.

Using STUI, take a photo of the
original horn on either side in their
horizontal position with the last 6
digits of the VIN and the date of repair
on a piece of paper.
Upload the photo to STUI.

orientation by connecting the horn connectors
to the external wirings.
