SITUATION
BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective March 6, 2025) on certain Model Year 2025 BMW vehicles
that were produced between October 16, 2024, and February 7, 2025.
Do not deliver to a customer, a New, Certified Pre-Owned or Used vehicle subject to a Delivery Stop,
until the vehicle is repaired. Do not use or sell replacement equipment/parts subject to a Delivery
Stop.
Due to a manufacturing defect, there might be an internal leakage of the brake fluid expansion tank. In the
rare case that there is a leakage, the filling level sensor might malfunction over a relatively long period of
time.

CAUSE
Manufacturing defect

CORRECTION
Replace the brake fluid expansion tank.
Note: It is very important to retain the removed parts for further analysis.

PROCEDURE
Replace the brake fluid expansion tank as per REP34 51 110 Remove and install/replace expansion tank for
integrated braking system.

The removed expansion tank must be retained after removal and will be requested as a special damaged
component for further analysis.
