DESCRIPTION:
*VST op no added.
The 12V battery test in VIDA has been improved.
Do NOT charge the battery before the test, jump start the vehicle if needed. Read out the
vehicle with VIDA and start the test.
The purpose of the improved test is to also be able to check batteries below 11.5V with battery in the
vehicle and with a shorter test time. (Follow the instructions in VIDA)
The test will tell if the battery is in a good status and needs to be charged or if it´s defective and
needs to be replaced (warranty code will be displayed).
During the test the battery is charged with the engine running.
Note: Do NOT disconnect the BMS/battery before the test. This may cause extra/longer test
time.

SERVICE:
*Don’t charge the battery before the test, jump start the vehicle if needed. Read out the
vehicle with VIDA and start the test.
*If the battery test fails to work properly or if there are any other issues with the test. Create a report
(support needed case) and attach all the VIDA diagnosis log files for analysis (%userprofile%\VIDA\
PROD\LogFiles\Diagnostics).
*Don’t forget to fault trace why the battery is discharged.

VEHICLE REPORT:
Yes, please submit a Vehicle Report if the battery test fails to work properly or if there are any other
issues with the test. Use concern area “Vehicle Report” and sub concern area “Support needed”, use
function group 3111.
Attach a VIDA diagnosis log for analysis.
If repair is complete and logs have been collected from the test, please submit a “Support Not
Needed” case and attach VIDA logs.
