The Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) interval is typically set during the Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).
However, with the BOSCH Driver Information Module (DIM), the countdown for the service interval
begins at Factory Complete (FC) and cannot be reset during PDS. As a result, the service light
illuminates earlier than the customer expects.
This new DIM-unit will be the exchange part (sparepart) for all vehicles produced prior to structure
week 2024w46.
Work is ongoing to provide new DIM software which will be available in VIDA. The Technical Journal
will be updated once the release plan is confirmed.
