In response to part inventory, cost, and the quality situation surrounding the Mid-Voltage Battery
Module (MVBM), the MVBM will now require Prior Approval before replacement.
Part number: 36010971
If it is determined that the MVBM needs to be replaced after all necessary fault-tracing has been
completed, please follow the advice under “Service”.

Please note: Ensure the vehicle is not low on fuel prior to beginning fault tracing / diagnosis, as
repetitive cranking of the engine when the vehicle has low fuel can drain the MVBM voltage.
If you determine that a MVBM replacement is necessary, please create a “Prior Approval” vehicle
report with “MVBM Prior Approval” in the title. Include a detailed description of the customer’s
concern and all of the fault-tracing steps that you have completed.
Retailer Technical Support will review the report and if necessary, order a MVBM on your behalf.

Use the concern area “Vehicle Report” and the sub-concern area “Prior Approval”, use function
