This service bulletin applies to 2023 – 2024 model year, K1, K2, K3 and
K4 model motor home chassis built between September 10, 2021 –
October 12, 2023, equipped with an AD100 pedal control module and an
ICM.
CONDITION:
The switch used to adjust the brake and throttle pedal positions may
work intermittently, or not at all.
CORRECTION:
Replace the ICM

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Thoroughly review entire service bulletin before starting work. If there are questions or concerns
with steps defined in this service bulletin, contact Spartan RV Chassis Customer & Product
Support Group.
All applicable industry safety standards must be followed when performing work identified in this
procedure.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Ensure you have the following items for this repair.
a. M4 hex wrench
b. Socket wrench set
c. Pre-programmed replacement ICM
2. Turn off the chassis battery disconnect switch in the service center.
3. Locate the ICM behind the generator slide out on the driver side of the vehicle.

4. Disconnect cables E3, E4, E5, and E6 from the ICM.
5. Using a M4 hex key, unbolt and disconnect harness E1, E2, and E8.
6. Unbolt the ICM and remove it.
7. Place the new ICM in its place and secure it with the original hardware. The mounting bolts
should be torqued to 10 ft-lbs.
8. Connect harness E1, E2, and E8 and then tighten the hex bolts.
a. E1 and E2 are keyed so they will not plug into the wrong side.
b. Hex bolts should be torqued to 25-28 in-lbs
9. Connect cables E3, E4, E5, and E6.
a. These connectors are identical so refer to the flags on the cables to ensure they
are plugged in to the correct location.
10. Turn on the chassis battery disconnect switch.
11. Turn on ignition and verify that steering wheel switch functions are working properly.
