U.S. population of affected vehicles: 34,189. Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS and FSA VIN
Lists.
REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM
Some of the original marketing material for the affected vehicles include incorrect information:
• Vehicles ordered with the Tow/Haul package are only equipped with an “upgraded rear
bumper” when also equipped with the Max Trailer Tow Axle. This “upgraded rear bumper”
does not change vehicle operation or appearance and is only unique to allow fitment of the
Max Trailer Tow Axle feature and related components.
• For vehicles equipped with 3.5L Hybrid powertrains, the original marketing material may have
incorrectly stated the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) and the maximum conventional
towing capacity for a vehicle with this trim series. The correct GCWR for a vehicle with this trim
series is 17,100 lbs., with a maximum conventional towing capacity of 10,800 lbs., when
properly equipped. Ford notes that these numbers vary based on each specific vehicle
configuration.
SERVICE ACTION
Customers are eligible to receive a credit toward the purchase of Ford Accessories, up to the
following amounts:
• Vehicles equipped with 5.0L and 3.5L gas-only powertrains: $100
• Vehicles equipped with 3.5L Hybrid powertrains: $785
This credit can be applied toward products, shipping, taxes, and installation.
For Dealers located in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Vermont:
Dealers should assist affected vehicle owners with their Ford Accessories purchase and provide a
credit up to the amount shown above. Dealers can then submit a warranty claim to be reimbursed for
the credited amount, plus an administrative allowance. If the total purchase price exceeds the
provided amount, the difference would be at the customer’s expense.

amount, any unused balance will be forfeit.
For all other Dealers:
No action is required by dealers at this time. Owners will be mailed a letter containing a unique
discount code that can be used at www.Ford.com/Accessories. If the owner does not receive a letter
or requires assistance with their order, please direct them to the Ford Accessories team at 1-844-5890060. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM EST.
