SITUATION
The Augmented Reality Camera (ARCAM)
shows up blurry when activated.
CAUSE
Contamination on the inside of the windshield
in front of the Autonomous Driving Camera
(ADCAM; arrow).
CORRECTION
Using a clean and dry microfiber cloth, clean the affected area of the inner windshield and ADCAM lenses
using BMW glass cleaner.
PROCEDURE
1. Remove the ADCAM camera per the repair instructions listed in ISTA/AIR 66 51 541 or 66 51 590.

2. Spray the glass cleaner onto a clean/dry microfiber cloth.
Note: DO NOT spray the windshield.
3. Clean the inner section of windshield where the ADCAM sits and clean the ADCAM lenses.
4. Reinstalled the ADCAM and reassess the vehicle.

(17 characters) instead. Click on the “Flat Rate Units” button and enter a flat rate labor operation code
number in the field to the right, click on the “Search” icon to display the corresponding listing of “Flat rate unit
group details” that are available.
