MODELS AFFECTED:
eGen Flex Model Year 2022-2024 Buses
Introduction
Allison Transmission is authorizing a focused field action to update software and the SID in Allison eGen Flexequipped buses. The software update addresses the false setting of diagnostic codes related to the engine speed
sensor, Rechargable Energy Storage System (RESS) and halt brake. The vehicles authorized to receive updated
software and SIDs are specified in Table 3.
To ensure the highest quality of work and reduce down time, all vehicles worked on should be verified to have no
issues prior to or after applying software updates.
Claim Submittal Information
Claims must be submitted against the Allison eGen Flex Drive Unit serial numbers with the information in Table
1. Any repairs not described in this letter should be a separate claim. Transmission control module removal and
replacement (R&R) is not covered in this field action. Refer to Table 2 for Labor Operation Codes required to
complete the repairs.
