A new software platform has been released to update the McLaren Speedtail to the latest
software platform 4.10
Invite customers using the attached letter. Action affected vehicles on first opportunity
(immediately if already on site or during next Retailer visit if not already on site). Please
refer to the information outlined in this document to complete the required work

1. Overview
McLaren Automotive has released a new software platform to update the McLaren Speedtail to the latest Software
Platform – version 4.10.
McLaren Automotive requires retailers to use the attached invitation letter to inform customers of the new software
update.
Care Point: Please note that the customer letter does not signify a recall. The purpose of the letter is to announce
and encourage customers to have their vehicle updated to the latest software platform.
2. Procedure
To carry out the Service Campaign for the Software Platform 4.10 update, software updates in multiple control units
are required using McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS) 2.
Please refer to the next section which contains the relevant work instructions and care points.

3. Re-Programming Procedure
Care Point: Only technicians who have completed the McLaren Speedtail Training are allowed to work on the
vehicle.
Please follow the instructions and care points within the document ‘Installation Instructions Platform Release 4.10 –
McLaren Speedtail’ attached with this Service Campaign Bulletin.
Care Point: Specific flashing order is required for successfully updating the vehicle software platform to 4.10.
Always follow the correct control unit flashing order and instructions as specified in the installation instruction
document and care points within.

What’s new in the software update?
The software update will include bug fixes for certain user issues with the instrument cluster
(dashboard). The improvements and bug fixes that are resolved by the software update include, but
are not limited to:
• The fuel information not being displayed after a cold start
• Lines appearing on the camera display when using the reverse camera
• Varying colours and colour levels displayed on the instrument cluster
• Messages on the instrument cluster overlaid on other messages
• Comfort entry enhancements
Any Speedtail authorised McLaren retailer will perform the software update for your vehicle. We
always want our customers to be on the latest software to be able to enjoy the most out of their
vehicles.
