when Replacing Oil Pan Seal (117/24)

Cause:
Oil traces are detected on the oil pan (oil guide housing) and possibly on the underbody
panelling.
The leak is located in the area of the oil pan sealing point (oil guide housing) to the crankcase and
indicates a replacement of the oil pan seal is necessary.
Cause:
In very rare cases, production tolerances of the oil pan (oil guide housing) can damage the oil pan seal on
Porsche
911 GT3 (992) vehicles with a production date between 06/01/2021 and 08/01/2021.
This may lead to slight loss of oil at the sealing point between the oil pan (oil guide housing) and the
crankcase.
Action:
If the oil leakage can be clearly assigned to the oil pan seal and the vehicle is assigned to the technical
warranty extension 116/24, the oil pan seal and additionally the oil pan (oil guide housing) must be
replaced.

action, applies exclusively to Porsche 911 GT3 (992) vehicles in Technical Information no.
