Installing the gurney (separation edge)

– gurney (separation edge) - 982.044.806.70
Thoroughly clean the adhesive surfaces on
the rear wing with isopropanol (alcohol). The
adhesive surfaces must be free from dust,
dirt and grease of any kind.

Loosen a piece of the backing sheet  11 -1(similar to illustration) from the adhesive strip
on the gurney (separation edge)  11 -2-.

Slowly pull out the backing sheet  13 -3and press gurney firmly into place (separation
edge)  13 -1-.
Press gurney (separation edge)  13 -1- flat
onto the rear spoiler (wing)  13 -2- for at
least 10 seconds.
Use only the pre-affixed double-sided
adhesive tape.

Unscrew both screws  15 -1-.

Install air-guide element  16 -2- and screw
in and tighten screws  16 -3-. Tightening
torque 3.2 Nm (2.4 ftlb.)

The nuts do not have to be completely unscrewed.

Pull the control arm  19 -1- outwards and
remove all adjusting shims  19 -2-.

8.4

Pull control arm  20 -2- outwards and push
in the new adjusting shims  20 -3- between
the fixed bearing and mounting plate.

8.5

Tighten nuts  20 -1-.

Unscrew front screw  25 -2- from air inlet housing. And remove air quality
sensor from air inlet housing.

Install holder  25 -1- with new
screw  25 -2- onto screw point
on air inlet housing interior.

Secure the passenger side
expansion tank  26 -1- to holder
with tie-wraps  26 -2-.
Ensure the line is not twisted or
under strain.

Secure the driver side expansion
tank  27 -1- to wiring harness 
