MDEVO Release 9.8.1 new features

Dear Sirs,
We are pleased to announce a new MDEVO Software update that improves the user experience and
introduces new features. Bellow the list of the new contents:

New login interface
Active diagnosis introduction for Go direct function (only for BEV vehicles)
MY25 version for all vehicles, Hard Reset function (Active Diagnosis), specs update, general
improvements.
New login interface
After the launch of the Maserati Diagnosi/EVO application, as soon as the Disclaimer is
accepted, the MDEVO will shows the Login interface where the User shall input the related
User and Password credentials. The User and Password credentials are the same of those
already used for SGW unlock.
This new login prompt will replace the manual request to unlock the SGW in the synoptic window.
MDEVO will shows the related error messages for the following cases:

After logging in successfully, next screen below will appear in order to select the MDVCI the
User wants to work with. MDEVO will automatically look for the MDVCI that was used the
last time, marking it as “Favorite” (yellow star). An example is shown in the following figure:
Special note: Only paired MDVCI will be found and if the expected vehicle/VCI is not
displayed at first time, click the Refresh MDVCI button as suggested by MDEVO.
Active diagnosis introduction for Go direct function (only for BEV vehicles)
“Go Direct” function allows the User to directly diagnose the ECUs that are supported by this
special function, that now support the following ECUs checks:
1. BPCM for M182 BEV
a. High Voltage Battery Check
b. Read and clear DTCs
c. Base Diagnosis
d. Active Diagnosis
2. BPCM for M189 BEV
a. High Voltage Battery Check
b. Read and clear DTCs
c. Base Diagnosis
d. Active Diagnosis
Once the MDEVO software application is launched and the related MDVCI is recognized, the User can
select the “Go Direct” function, as shown in the following figure:

After the selection of the Go Direct button, MDEVO allows to select the BPCM that the User
is going to diagnose, for instance the BPCM_HV_89 enclosed in the red box, as shown in the
following image:
MDEVO allows to diagnose the BPCM with the following subfunctions:

BPCM Battery Check
•
BPCM Read and Clear DTCs
•
BPCM Base Diagnosis
•
BPCM Active Diagnosis
Go Direct function shows the DTCs, Base Diagnosis and Active Diagnosis information in the
same way as provided in the standard MDEVO application diagnosis.
