AFFECTED VEHICLES

Vehicles which require this campaign to be completed will show it as “Open” when checked either

in AIR, AWP, Campaign Summary, or Warranty Vehicle Inquiry.

Please make sure you check your dealer inventory as soon as possible. You can see a list of

affected vehicles in Inventory Campaign Details (ICD) under ROSS.
SITUATION

BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop

(effective June 28, 2024) on certain Model

Year 2025 BMW vehicles that were produced

between May 13, 2024, and June 18, 2024.

During supplier production, the passenger sun

visor shaft may not have been fully pressed

into the socket (arrow).

Do not deliver to a customer, a New,

Certified Pre-Owned or Used vehicle

subject to a Delivery Stop, until the vehicle

is repaired. Do not use or sell replacement

equipment/parts subject to a Delivery

Stop.
CORRECTION

Check and if necessary, replace the passenger side sun visor.

Note: The driver’s side visor is not affected and does not need to be checked.
PROCEDURE

1. Unfold the passenger sun visor and check

whether the shaft is fully seated.
Note: Photo indicates an intact sun

visor.

Note: Continue to step 2.
Note: Photo to the left indicates a faulty

sun visor.

Note: If the sun visor is in the condition

shown with part of the narrower shaft

visible, the sun visor will need to be

replaced following the repair

instructions listed in ISTA/AIR 51 16

080.
2. Remove the passenger sun visor from the

end support.

3. Grasp the sun visor with both hands as

shown in the photo.

4. Pull the sun visor down with force and

combine this with a swivel motion to the right

and left.
Note: If the sun visor slips out of the

socket, it must be replaced following

repair instructions listed in ISTA/AIR

51 16 080.
