This service bulletin provides New Model Features information on the new 2024 Chevrolet
Equinox EV.

• Level 2: – Comes with two options: Option one
using the dual charge cord 240 Volt / 11.5kW /
32-48 Amps is capable of charging approximately
11.5-24 miles (18.5-38.6 km) per hour of charge. If
going with option two and purchased an OEM
recommended wall unit, you can get up to 36 miles
(57.9 km).

• Level 1: – 120 Volt, 8-12 Amps is capable of
charging approximately 1.4 - 2.1 miles
(2.25-3.37 km) per hour of charge. This charge
cord comes standard with all models for 2024.

• Level 3: – For commercial and public use: Up to
150 kW capable of charging 77 miles (112.6 km) in
10 minutes (Peak).

• Once charging is complete, the light will become a
solid green. If the light does not come on, check for
a poor charge port connection. If a solid blue or
green light goes out or blinks red, this may be a
result of loss of power or fault in charging system.
• Dependent on the vehicle trim level, additional
indicators can also be located on the headlamps
and rear taillamps.
Note: In order to maintain a healthy battery life, it is
recommended to charge the vehicle to 80% for normal
driving conditions.
Steering and Suspension
The Equinox EV comes with the following brake,
steering and suspension systems.
• MacPherson strut front and rear system
• Belt-driven electric power steering
• Electric Park Brake

Equipped with several scheduled charging options, the
driver has the option of overriding the schedule at any
time by plugging the vehicle in and beginning a charge.
Driver may select Desired level of charge and/or the
amount of time charging needs to be completed. The
driver can also select if they want the cabin to bepreconditioned and choose the temperature, they would
like the cabin to be set at.

The Equinox EV is equipped with a charge indicator
and is part of the sun load sensor. When the charge
cord is plugged into the vehicle, the light will change to
blue once cord is successfully connected.
• If the charging is delayed, the light will pulsate
blue. When charging starts, the light will blink
green. The longer the blink, the higher the state of
charge.
