Passive Power Moding (hands-free start)
The Equinox EV is equipped with passive power
moding and does not have a start/stop button. The
vehicle has three modes of operation: Off, Run and
Propulsion mode.
• With Off mode: The vehicle is powered off when
the vehicle was driven, placed in park and detects
the driver has exited the vehicle. Vehicle can also
be turned off by pressing the Off icon on the
infotainment screen.
• With Run mode: The vehicle is powered up and
propulsion is not active. Also called service mode.
Open the driver’s door while fob is in range, brake
pedal not applied and accelerator pedal is
depressed three times within 5 seconds.
• With Propulsion mode: The vehicle is powered up
and propulsion is active. Also known as Ready
mode.
One-Pedal Driving

The Equinox EV comes standard with a hand operated
regen on demand button on the back left side of the
steering wheel. Press the button inward and the vehicle
will use it’s regenerative braking system to slow the
vehicle down.
Drive Modes

The Equinox EV comes standard with one pedal driving
allowing the vehicle to accelerate and slow to a full
stop, using only the accelerator and is paired with
regenerative braking.

The Equinox EV comes with three drive modes
including a 4th custom my mode option where the
driver can select the responsiveness level for steering,
braking, acceleration and sound.

Appearance
The Equinox EV comes with a variety of options for
customers to choose from.
Wheels: 19” and 21” variations available. 3 total – 1
19" Base and Optional and 2 21" for 2RS/3RS/3LT
Tire Sizes: For the recommended OEM tire sizes, the
2LT is equipped with 245/55/R19 and 2RS/3RS/3LT
models are equipped with the 275/40/R21 size. These
tires are a self-sealing design and most vehicles are
not provided a spare tire or inflator kit. Only LT models
equipped with the 19” tire size will come with an inflator
kit.
Color (Exterior): 8 exterior total colors available for the
Equinox EV.

The Equinox EV comes with an Autosense hands free
liftgate on 2LT/2RS and 3LT/3RS. All Equinox EV’s will
come equipped with power flush pivoting door handles.
The handles will present themselves whenever the key
fob is within a certain radius
Interior Lighting
The Equinox EV is equipped with Multi-color Ambient
lighting. This is standard on 2LT/2RS and 3LT/3RS.

Infotainment
The 2024 Equinox EV comes equipped with the VCU
High Radio (RPO IVE) with 5G and WiFi Capability.
The Equinox EV comes standard with Google built-in
system (google maps, play store and google assistant).
Android Auto and Apple Car Play will not be available.

180 kW drive motor, a single diff/offset gear set, a
mech trans fluid pump and two axles.
• This drive unit is also equipped with a fluid temp
sensor and fluid cooling exchanger mounted on
the outside unit housing.

• Equipped with the P76 drive unit in the front and
the S78 electric drive transmission located in the
rear (also known as a drive unit).
• The S78 drive unit contains a single 67 kW drive
motor, a single diff/offset gear seat and two axles.
The unit is lubricated with a splash lube system
internal to the unit. The S78 is also equipped with
a fluid temp sensor mounted on the outside unit
housing.
HV Battery (RPO EC3)
• The Equinox EV comes with a 10-cell hybrid/EV
battery pack. The battery pack comes in a 5 bay
case and is layered horizontally in a single layer
arrangement.

The Equinox EV much like the other GM Ultium
platform vehicles use the following 3 charge level
options.
