Summary
Trouble shooting flow chart to show the process of self-diagnosing tyre pressure monitoring system faults before contacting Emira Support. The descriptions of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s), generated if a fault is detected in the TPMS, may identify the general monitoring system or circuit where a fault has been detected, but may not be able determine the specific module, component, or circuit location at fault. REASON
The descriptions of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s), generated if a fault is detected in the TPMS,
may identify the general monitoring system or circuit where a fault has been detected, but may not be
able determine the specific module, component, or circuit location at fault. Therefore, DTC information
can be misinterpreted by the technician resulting in excessive time, or unnecessary replacement of
TPMS module components to rectify the TPMS fault.
ACTION
A flow chart on the 2nd page of this bulletin, shows the diagnostic route that should be taken, ensuring
the basic main causes of TPMS DTC’s are checked and eliminated before contacting your Emira
Support team for further technical advice.

1.Using EmiraDS, in the
CEM menu, locate the
TPMS page.
2.Press ‘RESET’.
3.Finalise changes.
4.Drive the vehicle at
over 30 kmh/20 mph
for over 10 minutes
