This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Kenworth Truck Company has decided that certain model Year 2009-2024 C500/T440/T470/T660/T680/T800/T880/W900 chassis
manufactures from 01/09/2008 through 10/26/2023 2023 fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No.121 Air
Brake Systems. These vehicles may have air tank reservoirs with less than twelve times the combined volume of all service brake
chambers, which could reduce braking capacity in an emergency and increase the risk of a crash. An audible alarm and warning light in
the dash will warn the operator if pressure in the air system is low.
Kenworth has initiated a recall to remedy this issue. You will be notified when the remedy is available and may schedule an
appointment with a dealer at that time.
