Certain Maserati Grecale (M182) MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to
check the bonding of the sunroof moldings.
In a select number of vehicles within a limited batch, there is a possibility that the sunroof
moldings were not correctly mounted, leading to areas where adhesion may not be perfect.
This could potentially result in unwanted noise. However, it is important to emphasize that there
is no risk of detachment of the component in any case.
The procedure involves checking the correct installation and possibly restoring it with a
dedicated gluing procedure.
We remind you that all the Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit,
regardless of the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati
policies.
Also, for vehicles in Stock Dealer / PDI, it is necessary to carry out all action operations before
delivery to the end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly reported in the Predelivery checklist.

The procedure outlined in this bulletin is necessary to verify correct adhesion and, if necessary,
resecure the sunroof moldings. To ensure the procedure's effectiveness, it is essential to observe a
few simple precautions regarding the use of the sealant, the type of cleaning, and the drying of
the component.
Technical Procedure
All images shown in this bulletin are for illustrative purposes only
1. Always check ModisCS+ to see if the vehicle is involved in this action and if it has not been
previously performed.
2. Using a plastic Teflon wedge (or equivalent) carefully check that the molding is correctly
mounted/secured and is not loose if pressure is applied with the wedge. (See below picture)
3. INSPECTION RESULTS:
4. OK ► Molding is secure and is not loose, with no obvious areas not adhering correctly to the
bodywork. No further action needed.
5. NOT OK ► Molding is not properly adhered or there are areas with obvious movements, it is
necessary to re-glue, following the instructions contained both in this bulletin and the
workshop manual: 09.15.094 00 COMPLETE ROOF MOLDING, RIGHT SIDE
Note: It is not necessary to replace the molding (unless damaged). Once cleaned of glue
residues, it can be reused (see the "Preliminary gluing operations" section of this bulletin).
6. Perform the same procedure on the opposite side of the vehicle.
7. Re-install any components removed by following the procedure in reverse order.
8. Wait at least 24 hours to ensure that the bonding has completely cured, at the same time
making sure that the vehicle is not exposed to rain or humidity.
9. Procedure complete.

Overview
To carry out rework, although it is extremely recommended and preferable to use products such
as "SIMSON ISR 70-08" or the equivalent " Teroson MS 93XX", you can use any of the sealants
proposed in the table below.

Preliminary gluing operations
Before carrying out the gluing operation it is necessary to carry out the procedure of
preparing the moldings using thin sandpaper (between120 and 280 grit) and subsequent cleaning
by eliminating residues using wipes soaked in degreaser such as SOCOSAT or BETACLEAN 3350 or
similar products.

Once the preparation has been carried out, before proceeding with gluing, make sure that:
▪ The ambient temperature is between 64°F (18°C) and 95°F (35°C)
▪ The parts to be glued are perfectly dry.

Obtain the necessary materials:
▪ Simson ISR 70-08 adhesive or equivalent according to the table indicated
▪ Spout with triangular nozzle, supplied together with the cartridge
▪ Product dispensing gun

Before starting the operating procedure, make sure that the silicone can be distributed
correctly, dispensing the product by approximately 30 cm to ensure continuous extrusion.
