Dear Dealers,
We would like to inform you that an optional new breather hose fastening kit has been made
available for client purchase. This kit has been developed to update the layout of fuel tank
breather and drain hoses to that of the latest versions of the Panigale V4 (from Model Year
2022).
The kit is available to clients and has the advantage of facilitating fairing removal during
maintenance (so, for instance, it is very appropriate for motorcycles subject to heavy racing
use). The greater ease is because with this kit the entire breather system remains anchored
to the vehicle and therefore does not need to be disconnected when removing the lower
fairings.
The new kit Part no.6992A001A “Panigale V4 Breather Hose Fastening Kit” is available in the
spare parts catalogue as an alternative to the original system.
Please note, this is a product upgrade and not a mandatory update, therefore the cost of the
kit and the relevant labor for installation will be the responsibility of the client. The suggested
time to be invoiced to the Client is

NOTE
The above-mentioned components will also be added to the “Lower racing fairing set”
to make the assembly of breather system more robust, so that when the lower fairings
are removed, the breather system remains in place.
Solution for the Service:
1. Remove the side fairings (see Sec.05 - Fairing - “Fairings”).
2. Release the elastic band (1) securing the canister from the relevant support.
3. Slide connector (2) for the side stand wiring branch out of canister support (8).

4. Remove the small self-locking tie (3) and release side stand cable (4).
Disconnect connector (2) from side stand cable (4).
5. Move the canister from its support and slide purge valve (6) out of canister support (8).
Loosen the 2 screws M6x16 (7) and remove the canister support (8).

6. Collect vibration damping mat (9) from canister support (8).
7. Take the new canister support (B) and clean the surfaces where the new heat reflective
material (A) will be applied.
Remove protective film (A1) on the rear side of the heat reflective material (A).
8. Position heat reflective material (A) on canister support (B) upper side, as shown in the
figure.

9. Fit the vibration damping mat (9) on the new canister support (B) and engage it, on the
inside, to the no.6 tabs (M) and insert the elastic band in the relevant opening, as
indicated by the arrow.
Insert 2 pins (N) of mat (9) in the holes on support (B) and “pull them” from the opposite
side, until poppets (O) come out completely.
10. Position the new canister support (B) and tighten the 2 screws (7) M6x16 to a torque of
10Nm ± 10%.
11. Position the purge valve (6) on the canister support (B).

12. Fit the breather/drain hose (G) on the lower union of canister.
Position canister on the relevant housing on canister support (B), sliding hose (G) inside
the special seat of the support, as shown in the figure.
Insert 1 L.62 button tie (10) inside the indicated hole of canister support (B).
Secure canister in place with elastic band (2), hooking it to canister support bracket.
WARNING
Elastic band (2) tension must be evenly distributed along the entire length, so as to
avoid deformation - and hence weakening - of the slot hooking to bracket.
13. Reconnect connector (2) to side stand cable (4) and position it to the RH side of canister.
Tie together side stand cable (4) and front lambda sensor cable 1 using a self-locking tie
(14).

14. Assemble hose support kit as follows:
a. Position rubber blocks (D) on hose bracket (C)
b. Secure hose union (F) to hose bracket (C) using screw (I) M3x10
15. Secure breather/drain hose (G) to canister support (B) using a small self-locking tie (15).
Insert L-shaped union (F) inside hose (G).
Insert fuel circuit drain hose (E) on union (F) and check that it is 13.5 cm long.

16. Loosen the 2 M5 nuts (11) and release pin of oil cooler (12) from H-shaped rubber block
(13).
17. Remove the indicated button tie (before Y).
18. Release retaining clamp (16) and pull-out drain hose (17) from the airbox.

19. Shorten airbox drain hose (17) by 10cm starting from the upper part of the hose - NOT
from the lower part. Then engage it to the airbox using clamp (16).
20. Reposition the button tie (before Y).

21. Shorten the expansion reservoir/water pump connection pipe from 200mm to 172mm.
22. Position hose bracket assembly (C) previously assembled inside oil cooler pin and
reposition the cooler on the lower rubber block.
23. Position airbox drain pipe (20) and expansion reservoir drain pipe (21) and fuel tank (E) on
hose bracket assembly (C).

24. Tie together the hoses positioned on the hose bracket using the button tie (H) Part
no.74110111A.
Check that the layout of drain and breather hoses are as shown in the figure.
25. Install the side fairings (see Sec.05 - Fairing - “Fairings”).
