If the mechanical coolant pump is replaced, the following must be observed:
When performing work
on the cooling system
which requires the
mechanical coolant
pump to be replaced, it
must be ensured that
there is no coolant
residue or fluid in the
control line (Figure 1,
position 1). If there is,
switch valve N649
must also be replaced
in addition to the
coolant pump and the
control line must be
cleaned/dried.
• Position 1 – control
line.
• Position 2 – switch
valve for
mechanical coolant
pump N649.
• Position 3 –
mechanical coolant
pump.
