Description of the modification:
This bulletin aims to solve the problem: This
service bulletin will be applied for when the
vehicle comes to the service for any operation,
the measurement at the beginning of the
instruction (!!!) will be taken and the modules
will be replaced if necessary.

1. Mechanical Requested Dress Code
WARNING:

Always wear protective clothing
Do not wear any worn or loose-fitting clothing
Remove jewelry before starting to work
In case of long hair, use hairnet
The illustration on the left shows some of the correct and
incorrect clothing
✓ Sharp edged items should be avoided in order not to
scratch vehicle (i.e. belts, watches, necklace)

2. Protect Seats when Mechanic Starts Working

✓ Seats, trimming, upholstery stuff and carpeting should be
protected with appropriate coverings.

3. Welding on the Chassis
a. Always disconnect the batteries (starting with the negative lead).
b. Disconnect the connectors of electrical and electronic equipment (electronic control
units, sensors and actuators) if they are less than 2 meters away from the chassis
part to be welded or the earth terminal of the welding equipment.
c. The earth terminal should never be attached to vehicle components such as engine,
axles and springs. Arcing on these parts is not permitted, because of the risk of
damage to bearings, springs, etc.
d. The earth terminal must make good contact and be placed as close as possible to
the part to be welded.
e. Plastic pipes, rubber parts and parabolic springs should be well protected against
welding spatter and temperatures higher than 70°.
f. The contact switch must not be in the accessory or contact position. The contact key
should be removed.
g. Reconnect in reversed order of disconnecting. Ensure that a good earth connection
is made between chassis, engine and cab.

SERVICE BULLETIN
TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION
1. Make the following preparations;
a-Take the vehicle to the service and stop the engine,
b-Before starting the process, be sure to turn off the vehicle switch. (See Figure-1)

2. !!! Before starting the replacement process, take measurements from the C and D pins of the OBD
socket located on the right side of the front door entrance. If the output CAN line value is not 60ohm+/-5 (
like 0 ohm,40ohm,120ohm etc) start the ELM replacement process. ( See Figure-2).

3. Open the first luggage lid located on the front left of the vehicle. Get into the luggage.
Open the luggage lid hinges by pulling them downwards. (See Figure-3).

4. Take short bit #2 and drill (See Figure-4)

5. Remove the 4 screws that fix the ELM. ( See Figure-5 )

6. Remove the ELM from its socket and complete the process. ( See Figure-6 )

FOR INSTALLING THE ELM LOCATED ON THE FRONT

7. Plug the new ELM into the socket. (It should be installed with the socket side facing left.)
(See Figure-7).

8. Position the ELM to meet the holes. ( See Figure-8 )

9. Take the #2 short bit and the drill. Replace the ELM using 4 screws (metric 4) and a drill.

10. Push the luggage lid up, close the hinges and complete the process. ( See Figure-10 )

TO REMOVE THE ELM LOCATED ON THE REAR
1. Open the fourth luggage lid, located on the right rear side of the vehicle. Get into the
luggage. Find the ELM located at the top of the fire extinguisher. ( See Figure-1)

2. Take the #2 long bit, the curved head tool, and the drill.( See Figure-2 )

3. Remove the 2 screws located at the bottom of the 4 screws on which the ELM is fixed, using
a number 2 long bit and a drill. ( See Figure-3 )

4. Attach the curved head tool to the end of the drill to remove the other 2 screws on the
top. Then, attach a number 2 short tip to the end of the apparatus. And remove the screws.
( See Figure-4 )

5. Remove the ELM from its socket and complete the process. ( See Figure-5 )

6. Open the fourth luggage lid, located on the right rear side of the vehicle. Get into the
luggage.Find the place where the ELM will be fixed at the top of the fire extinguisher.

7. Position the ELM to meet the holes. ( See Figure-7)

8. Combine the separated socket and ELM. (It should be installed with the socket side facing
down.) ( See Figure-8)

9. To fix the ELM, get 4 screws (metric 4), long tip number 2, curved head tool and drill.

10. First, install the 2 screws located at the bottom of the 4 screws to fix the ELM, using a
number 2 long bit and a drill. ( See Figure-10)

11. Put on the curved head tool to the end of the drill to install the other 2 screws on the top.
Then, put on a number 2 short tip to the end of the apparatus. Install the screws and finish the
process. ( See Figure-11)
