DESCRIPTION:

If the WPC (Wireless Phone Charger) in the vehicle is showing symptoms of no/unstable charging,

follow the advice under “Service”.

This applies for MY24 cars with a WPC, hardware part no. 32359823, and after PDS SWDL (or

when used as a spare part on other model years).

*(Also applies for earlier/later M/Y since this spare part can be used for all M/Y.

* Avoid unnecessary replacements of the WPC! See below:

First, check TJ 36601. If symptoms persist, then follow instructions below:

•
When performing PDS SWDL on MY24 cars with a WPC, hardware part no. 32359823, it is

crucial that no phone or other external metallic object is placed on top of, or near (up to 60mm),

the WPC. The car radio must also be off. For SPA cars, open the blinds/hatches in the tunnel

console (see attachment).
•
If this was not followed during the PDS SWDL, then the WPC will be incorrectly calibrated,

resulting in no charging or unstable charging performance. To solve this issue, recalibrate the

WPC by performing the following sequence:
S90/V90/V90CC/S90L/XC60/XC90/S60/V60/V60CC:

1. Make sure that the blind/hatch in the tunnel console is open and that there are no phones or

other external metallic objects placed on top of, or near (up to 60mm), the WPC.

2. Download “WPC FIX”.

S90/V90/V90CC: WPC fix: SP 32319453

S90L: WPC fix: SP 32319472

XC60/XC90: WPC fix: SP 32301792

S60/V60/V60CC: WPC fix: SP 32319494

3. Download WPC reload.

4. Confirm that WPC charging function is OK

XC40/C40:

As the WPC is not placed in the tunnel console for XC40/C40, the issue with non-working WPC

after PDS SWDL should not appear. If you still have problems after PDS for XC40/C40, please

issue a technical report.
