START/STOP SWITCH REPLACEMENT

INITIAL INFORMATION:
On motorcycles with the currently installed start/stop switch (p.n.A49011074000), there may be problems
with the motorcycle starting automatically.
For this reason, the start/stop switch (p.n. A49011074000) installed on affected motorcycles must be
replaced with a different version (p.n. A46011074000).
Affected motorcycles can continue to be used, but the key must be turned off when these motorcycles
are not being ridden (e.g. parking, storage, transportation, etc.).
Dealers must perform the start/stop switch replacement on all affected motorcycles in their inventory
prior to any customer delivery. Please contact all of your customers who own affected motorcycles to
have the start/stop switch replacement performed.
PROCEDURE FOR REPAIR:
We shall not provide a description of general workshop methods. Likewise, safety rules that apply in a
workshop are not specified here. It is assumed that the repair work will be performed by a fully trained
mechanic who has completed training or has a corresponding qualification. In the event of uncertainty,
the most recent repair manual must be consulted.
In the interest of clarity, some components may be shown disassembled or may not be shown at all. It is
not always necessary to disassemble the component to perform the activity in question. Please follow the
instructions in the text.

Start/Stop Switch Replacement:
1. Remove the headlight mask, throttle housing and grip.
2. Replace the original start/stop switch with the new replacement start/stop switch using part
number A46011074000.
3. Reinstall the throttle housing (torque 5 Nm), grip and headlight mask.
4. Destroy the original start/stop switch by cutting the wires and take a photo of it so you can attach
it to the TI warranty claim (Fig. 3).
5. Submit the TI warranty claim with the photo of the destroyed start/stop switch.

PARTS ORDERING:
Please order the following for each affected motorcycle:
1 QTY. A46011074000 – Start/Stop Switch
Replaced start/stop switches #A49011074000 must be stored for at least 6 months and must NOT be
disposed of before the 6 month storage time period. A photo of the replaced and destroyed switch (see
Fig. 3) must be attached to each TI warranty claim.

This Technical Bulletin only affects certain VIN numbers! Please check the VIN by performing a
Motorcycle History search in GASGAS Dealer.net to determine if it’s affected. If the motorcycle is
affected, you will see a link to the bulletin and its repair status in the history results. GASGAS North
America will not warranty motorcycles whose VIN numbers are not linked as this bulletin does not apply
to them. It is the responsibility of the dealer to determine if the motorcycle requires this update by
checking the vehicle history and understanding the instructions provided by this bulletin.
To submit a TI claim click the red arrow on the right side of the corresponding technical information
message to start the claim process.
You can now choose the TI Number from the list. The TI number for this procedure is according to the
repairs performed and listed in the warranty claim input information; click Continue with selected action
