Condition

A. Vehicles with an L3B engine RPO equipped with RPO RWQ High Output Engine
Calibrations needs to be activated.
B. Customers that have purchased the L3B engine performance calibration after the
purchase of their new vehicle.

Cause

The cause of the condition may be that the engine calibration has not been activated.

Correction

A. For an LPO new vehicle order
A.1. Flash ECM Calibration and complete the Setup Process using Service
Programming System (SPS), Dealers DO NOT need to call techline.
A.2. The labor for download and the re-flash of the module is to be charged to the
labor operation under Warranty Information.
A.3. This engine calibration is included with the vehicle transaction price; you will be
provided an SPS warranty claim code upon programming completion.
B. For an over the counter / ACO sale
B.1. Obtain the VIN of the vehicle for reprogramming and Authorization code form
the Accessories kit.
B.2. Call Techline Customer Support Center (TCSC) at 1–800–828–6860 English or
1–800–503–3222 French to receive RWQ ECM reconfiguration.
Select ‘PROMPT 1’ - Software, service programming, scan tools
Select ‘PROMPT 2’ – Other
Select ‘PROMPT 1’ – GM Programmable Accessories
B.3. Flash ECM Calibration and complete the Setup Process using Service
Programming System (SPS).
B.4. The labor for download and the re-flash of the module is to be charged to the
labor operation under Warranty Information (as shown below).
