Certain Maserati Grecale (M182) MY23 MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid to
update the Radio Frequency HUB Module (RFHM) software.
This update is essential to prevent the occurrence of a false TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring
System) warning indication. In specific situations, the front tire pressures might erroneously
appear in yellow on the cluster display, even when the actual tire pressures meet or exceed the
specified values. This problem stems from an incorrect internal calculation related to the
hexadecimal conversion between psi and bar. It's crucial to note that this update does not
alter the tire pressure values as stated in the owner manuals and technical documentation.
We remind you that all the Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit,
regardless of the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati policies.
Also, for vehicles in Stock Dealer / PDI, it is necessary to carry out all action operations before
delivery to the end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly reported in the Predelivery checklist.

The latest software update addresses a bug related to the TPMS warning indicator light that
remained illuminated, even when the tire pressure was within the correct range and
matched the specifications outlined in the owner's documentation for tire sizes 19", 20", and
21".
**IMPORTANT**: The modification from 30 to 31 in the active parameter is necessary to rectify
an erroneous internal calculation in the hexadecimal conversion between psi and bar, and
this adjustment is specific to 19" tires. It's essential to emphasize that there are no alterations
to the tire pressure values as they are presented in the owner manuals and technical
documentation. The parameter change solely aims to ensure an accurate internal
calculation process.
Be aware that, in case of a further tire replacement starting from 20” or 21” to 19”, the active
diagnosis “Front Axle Nominal Tire (Placard) Pressure” must be performed to set 31 psi.

TECHNICAL SERVICE OPERATIONS

RFHM Software Update
Attention: Only perform this procedure if the VIN list calls for” Software Update Only” or “SW
Update + Active Diagnosis” for the vehicle involved
1. Before proceeding, please ensure that the engine is off.
2. Connect a battery maintainer to the 12V battery (It is recommended to always use the
E-XTEQ MAXIMUS to maintain minimum voltage and current draw requirements)
3. Connect the EVO to the vehicle, ensure that battery voltage is around 12.5V then select
RFHM ► ECU Programming and follow the prompts.

4. If the involved vehicle also requires the “Active Diagnosis” procedure (action labeled as "SW
Update + Active Diagnosis"), then please follow the subsequent instructions provided below.
Otherwise, the procedure is considered complete.

Active Diagnosis Procedure
Attention: Only perform this procedure if the VIN list calls for “Active Diagnosis Only” or “SW
Update + Active Diagnosis” for the vehicle involved
1. Using the EVO, from vehicle view select RFHM then select Active diagnosis, as shown in the
picture below:
