Air suspension system pipes connection

Due to anomalies found on the air suspension system of some cars on the field caused by the
breakage of the connection of the pipes, a chemical analysis of the damaged connections was
performed. The result of the analysis confirmed a chemical aggression of these components.

When delivering the vehicle to the customer, it's essential to provide instructions on how to wash
it properly and specify the recommended cleaning products. These guidelines are also
available in the car's User Manual (LUM) for easy reference.
If a breakage is identified in one of the air suspension system pipe connections, after replacing
the component, it is advisable to secure the repaired area using a specialized selfamalgamating ethylene-propylene tape (commonly known as “rescue tape” not electrical
tape) as depicted in the accompanying images below.
The repair can be claimed under warranty and the taping will be recognized with an extra time
of 0.2h.
If you discover any damage in one of the air suspension system pipe connections that were
previously sealed during the vehicle's production at the plant, it is crucial not to attempt any
repair or modification. Instead, follow the specific procedure by opening a BOL and attach
photographic evidence of the affected component for documentation and further evaluation.

Hence, it is advisable to clean the entire vehicle using a non-acidic detergent. Opt for a
detergent with a neutral pH that does not contain sulfuric acid or sodium hydroxide, paying
special attention to areas such as the wheel arches and alloy rims.
