This bulletin does not necessarily apply to all the above-mentioned vehicles, some vehicles may have been modified
before delivery. The owners of the vehicles affected by this bulletin will be advised by a letter indicating the Vehicle
Identification Number (VIN) of each vehicle concerned.

DESCRIPTION
On the vehicles affected by this bulletin it is possible that there is a lack of glue on the mirror support. If this
is the case, you will need to add it to eliminate the risk of the front-end fiber cracking when tightening the
mirror bolts.

PROCEDURE

DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop the engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition
switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On the
Commuter type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.
Lockout & Tag out (LOTO) must be performed during set-up, maintenance or repair activities. Refer to
your local procedure for detailed information regarding the control of hazardous energy.

REMOVE REARVIEW MIRRORS
1. Remove cap

A left mirror

-

B right mirror

2. Unscrew bolt.

3. Lift mirror arm (G1) and slide up (G3) to
remove it from its anchoring plate.

4. Disconnect the mirror (E) connector (F).

5. To Remove anchor plate (D) unscrew bolts
(C) and washers (B).

VERIFICATION
1. Check if you see glue or not

A) With sufficient glue go to mirror reinstallation section.

B) With insufficient glue go to add glue
section.

ADD GLUE (IF NEED IT)
1. Assemble syringe with nylon tube 1/4"
(3inch).
2. Flatten tip with pliers (A).

3. Fill the syringe with glue 684743 using gun
(pneumatic or manual).

NOTE: Check expiration date of the glue. Once the tube has been opened, leave the mixer at the
end and the glue will dry in the mixer, acting as a hermetic seal. When you are ready to use the
product again, remove the mixer containing the dried glue and replace it with a new one, ready to use
the remaining cartridge again.

4. Insert the tube as far as possible and push
the glue to the edge of the hole.

5. Fill all five cavities.

6. Use a spatula to remove the excess glue.
7. You must wait 4 hours before reinstalling the
mirror for cuing of the glue.

REARVIEW MIRROR RE-INSTALLATION
1. Install left anchor plate (A) with washer (B)
5001341 (4x) and bolt (C) 5002142 (4x) with
a torque 14 lb-ft.

2. Install right anchor plate (D) with washer (B)
5001341 (4x) and bolt (C) 5002142 (4x) with
a torque 14 lb-ft.

3. Plug connector (B) to the left mirror (A).

4. Install left mirror (C)

1. Tilt mirror towards vehicle.
2. Press down on top of anchor plate.
3. Lower it into place.

5. Install Bolt (D) with a torque 72lb-in.

6. Plug connector (F) to the left mirror (E).

7. Install left mirror (G)

1. Tilt mirror towards vehicle.
2. Press down on top of anchor plate.
3. Lower it into place.

8. Install Bolt (H) with a torque 72lb-po.

9. Install finish cap (A) on left mirror.

10. Install finish cap (B) on right mirror.

PARTS / WASTE DISPOSAL
DO NOT RETURN THE REPLACED PARTS. Discard waste according to applicable environmental
regulations (Municipal/State[Prov.]/ Federal)

WARRANTY
This modification is covered by Prevost’s normal warranty. We will reimburse 3/4 hour(s) (0.75) of labor
and material (if it is required) upon receipt of a warranty claim. Please submit claim via our Online Warranty
System, available at www.prevostcar.com (under Service \ Warranty section). Use Claim Type:
“Bulletin/Recall” and select ‘’Warranty Bulletin WB23-18 ".
