TITLE
Brake pad replacement on selected Evora GT model VIN range due to compliance issue.
REASON
The friction material used on the Evora GT front and rear brake pads no longer meet the legislation
requirements in certain USA States. This legislation affects vehicles with the current brake pads fitted
built after the 1st January 2021.
ACTION
- New brake pads that meet the latest legislation requirements are available for Evora GT vehicles. A
quantity of new brake pads will be mandatorily issued to all Lotus Dealerships.
- Dealers should immediately inspect any cars in their sales stock and any affected customer cars
currently on site.
- Any affected stock vehicles must be retained at the dealership until the replacement brake pads
are fitted as instructed in this bulletin. It is essential that you do not deliver any further cars (new or
pre- owned) you may have in your inventory from this period of build until this modification has been
carried out.
- Dealers should also contact their own customers wherever possible to arrange an early appointment.
- Any affected vehicle by campaign status will be displayed if its VIN is entered onto DC611 on the
Lotus Dealer Connect warranty system, campaign number 2023/06. A list of affected VINs in serial
number order is also shown on page 2 of this bulletin.
- Contact Lotus if you have any existing stock of front and rear brake part numbers A132J0326S and
A132J0001S, they must be removed from stock and cannot be sold or fitted to any vehicles in the
dealer workshop.
- Refer to the Evora service notes section JP – Brakes available to view on Lotus dealer portal for
brake pad replacement instructions.
