Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis. This
campaign can be performed at any time convenient for the customer (for example: during next scheduled
maintenance interval).
Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on
the list. Review SIR for “Complete” next to the “43078” campaign code prior to performing this repair.

Warranty
For repairs completed by 03/01/2024, Peterbilt will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:
For Dealers using the PRWS Warranty Application, select the Quick Claim from the Recommended Repair section.
•2.8 hours labor to remove the exhaust pipes and apply silicone per the procedure. NOTE: This will take two
technicians 0.7 hrs. each (1.4 hrs. per side) for a total of 2.8 hrs. per chassis.
•Use Quick Claim Code 43078.
•File the claim within 14 days in accordance with the Warranty Policy.

Peterbilt is pleased to inform you that certain Model 389X vehicles with 7” exhaust pipes are eligible to have silicone sealant applied to the
exhaust pipes in order to seal them and protect the chrome finish.

sealant.

This should seal the exhaust pipes and protect the chrome finish.

Contact your dealer immediately to schedule an appointment.

vehicle configuration and dealer scheduling. There will be no charge to you if completed within standard warranty or by 05/01/2024,
whichever is later.
