1. Update the Description, and
2. update the Action, and
3. update the SRT list, and
4. update the ESN list, and
5. update the Attachment B.

Description
This ATC is being issued to address sealing robustness on air compressor inlet plumbing on certain X15
engines. The following are the 3 components being addressed:
1. Turbocharger inlet to turbocharger adapter interface, and
2. Air compressor inlet plumbing O-rings, and
3. Hose clamp at resonator box (ONLY for engines equipped with CI1034 option).
In addition, the Engine Control Module (ECM) will be recalibrated. This calibration contains improvements
that may reduce false occurrences of Fault Code 555 & 556. This field action provides authorization for
certified repair locations to seal the turbocharger inlet to turbocharger adapter with RTV, replace the air
compressor inlet plumbing O-rings, replace the hose clamp at the resonator box, if equipped, and recalibrate
the ECM.

Note : Repairs for ATC2405 MUST be completed within 9 months from the date the ESN was
added to be considered for ATC2443 coverage eligibility. This eligibility will now be evaluated
based on the results of an Engine and Air Compressor Air Intake Leak Test described in
Attachment B. Attachment A documents the initial eligibility date as well as 9 months future from
that date (Noted as " ATC2405 Initial ESN Eligibility Date" and "9 Months After - Eligibility
Ending Date" respectively). Please note that there are several ESNs that are eligible for repairs
under this ATC ONLY, and will not be eligible for ATC2443.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered regardless of coverage status, and
2. must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action.

Note : The ESN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1) Please refer to Attachment B. Detailed instructions on documenting, inspecting, and completing the
repairs are documented in Attachment B.
2) If a leak is found through testing;
2a) Add the following statement to the claim narrative "Leak found during Initial Air Intake Leak Test";
and
2b) As per Attachment B, ensure video is submitted to EDS/Guidanz; and
2c) Submit ESN details and EDS or Guidanz Session ID to ATC2405 @cummins.com, and
2d) Email Title Format: ATC2405 Leak Found ESN 00000000; and
2e) Email Body Format: ESN 00000000, EDS or Guidanz Session ID.

Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.

Note : Cummins P/N 3824878 cannot be claimed under the Parts section of the claim. Please
refer to Other Claimables section of this publication for further instructions.
