TECHNICAL INFORMATION

If the inlet packing on the quick charging port comes off, re-install it
according to the steps in the workshop manual. When charging on a rainy
or snowy day, water may get into the terminals and cause electric
leakage.

If a customer complains about an abnormal noise from the front and/or rear
suspension, check the stabilizer bushing. The concern may be caused by
interference between the stabilizer bar and the inside of the stabilizer
bushing. Deterioration of an aging bushing (even without free play or cracks
being present) may cause the concern.

Minerals in the washer fluid adhere to the edge of the windshield washer nozzle and
prevent the washer from spraying properly or in the correct position/area.

Repair Procedures
1. Remove the mineral deposits that have adhered to the nozzle holes. Slightly
insert a pin of appropriate size to remove the deposits. Be careful not to
damage the nozzle or change the angle of it.
2. If the situation is not improved after removing the mineral deposits, in some
models the angle of washer nozzle can be adjusted (implement this according
to the Workshop Manual).
3. If adjusting the nozzle angle still does not work, the water channel of the nozzle
might be clogged by foreign matter. In this case, replace the nozzle with a new
one.
Other Precautions
If tap water is being used to dilute washer fluid, it too may contain minerals
and accumulate in the nozzle holes. Recommend that customers dilute the
genuine washer fluid with "purified water".

new technicians in your dealerships. Some haven’t had the opportunity to become
familiar with Mitsubishi Dealer Link (MDL).
The answers to many common questions are located in the Service Tech Resources
section of MDL. TSB and TIN documents can easily be sourced at Service/Service Tech
Resources/TSB’s & Recalls by Model. Once in the menu, click on the vehicle that you
are working with. Remember that the documents are organized by the year they
were generated so it might be necessary to look at multiple years as you search for
information. One example is that TIN 21-00-008 was generated in 2021, but applies
to 2022 Outlander ECU Programming Procedures.
Service and Owner Manuals can also be found on MDL at: Service/Service Tech

GAS NOZZLE SHUTS OFF
Affected Vehicles: All
Group 13: Fueling
Customers may report that they are unable to fuel their car without the nozzle
constantly cutting off. This has been reported on multiple newer models including
Outlander Sport, Mirage and Mirage G4; but, could be any model even those with
low mileage. Be sure to check the vent hoses for restriction, as some technicians
have found the vent hose collapsed internally (see photo below). Blowing air
through the hose is not a proper test and instead, the hose needs to be removed
and physically inspected. Using a bore scope may be helpful in locating the
restriction.

near a railway where many people could see it each night.
