Reprogramming of the Continental ABS module MK 100 (E5 models)

As a result of continuous monitoring of our product quality, it has been found that an update of the programming of the
Continental ABS module is necessary on the specified vehicles.
The new software features optimized communication during the diagnosis phase and avoids the occurrence of false errors.
We ask you to check the VIN’s and possibly update the bikes during the pre-delivery phase, during a maintenance service or
at the first useful opportunity at your workshop.

ABS MODULE SOFTWARE IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURE:
It will be possible to identify the motorbikes that need the update by connecting them to the TEXA diagnosis using the ABS
environment: in the "ECU UPDATE" environment, the Continental ABS module reprogramming function has been enabled for E5
vehicles.

Update your TEXA Navigator diagnostic tool by connecting the computer with the IDC5 software to the internet, select
"Check for Updates" and start the update to download the version 35.0.1. \ MAP 4157 or higher.
Check that the vehicle's battery voltage is above 12.5 V and keep the original charger connected during all the update
operation.
Connect the TEXA diagnostics to the vehicle following the guided system procedure, paying attention to select MY

Select the "ECU UPDATE" environment and the "ABS REPROGRAMMING" section (CONTINENTAL MK 100):

Installation of the latest ABS software version named "9IORAD00029" is required
To check the code of the software installed in the motorbike's ABS module, you can check the "ECU INFO" screen of the
Continental ABS module.

If software version "9IORAD00029" is already present, no further operations are necessary.
If other software versions are available, please proceed with the update as described below.

Check that the vehicle's battery voltage is above 12.5 V and keep the original charger connected during all the update
operation.
Remaining in the “ECU UPDATE” environment related to the ABS module, go to the "MAPPINGS" section, and select
the new software named "9IORAD00029". Press "START" to proceed with loading the new software:

Carefully follow the procedure requested by the system; no password will be required.
Once the reprogramming has been carried out, terminate the connection with the vehicle
Reconnect the vehicle, checking for faults in the following areas:
- ABS module Continental
- Engine ECU
If there are errors, delete them before performing any further operations.
After the reprogramming operations it will be necessary to check the coding of the ABS module and, if necessary,
perform the adjustment again through the TEXA ABS diagnosis environment - ADJUSTMENTS.
Perform a dynamic test of the vehicle to check that it is operating correctly.
