PURPOSE: Some customers may hear a knocking noise coming from the front of the vehicle while
turning at low speeds, such as performing driving maneuvers in a parking lot.
Inspection of the front structure mounting bolts by the sway bar is recommended first step to remedy.
Verify the vehicle list on the following pages for to see if the vehicle is part of this inspection.
1. Place vehicle on a hoist and raise
2. Inspect the bolts as shown (4 per vehicle right side and left side) in Fig 1a and Fig 1b, below
and see Fig. 2 on the next page
3. Inspect the 4 bolts for the stabilizer bar bracket (Fig 3 see following page)
3. Remove bolts apply red thread locker, refasten and torqued to specification (45 Nm +/- 5 Nm) for
all bolts
